This resonated with me. I spent five years bouncing from relationship to relationship, avoiding my issues with loneliness, giving and giving and giving. It wasn’t until this last break up that I had my best friend promise she’d hold me accountable for staying single for an entire year.

Well it’s been a year of “fixing myself rather than other people” and I have to agree with you, I have rediscovered my confidence and feel fulfilled in friendships that reciprocate in value and energy.
