love is so frustrating

tension

that which pulls also pushes

better than to hang

in the balance

in complacence

without hope

is to be without fear

the blood-let of a prick

signs of a beating heart

that only trusts

in vulnerability

a confidence

coveted by all

possessed by few

save most children
